BARANGAY TONGLAYAN, NATONIN MOUNTAIN PROVINCE

Tonglayan is bounded on the east by Pudo, west by Banao, north by the Tanudan River, and south by Ifugao Province. It has six sitios: Amharafoy-Pora, Balugang-Chapah, Daulan-Obo-ob-Tonglayan Proper, Mexico, Obiteg-Iyahan, and Te-eng-Potaw-Domang (Source: Tonglayan Barangay Profile, 2017).

Located in this Barangay is the Natonin National High School(NHHS), the first public secondary school in Natonin. It was established by the late former Mayor of Natonin – Anastacia Rafael Sagel, in 1993 and constructed by Eduardo Banasan. This Public secondary school made secondary education accessible to all among those who are quite far from Immaculate Heart High School and those who cannot afford private education.

Tonglayan is also the origin of the most successful businessmen like the Fiaching, Banasan, and Cafongtan and notable pioneering politicians such as the Rafaels and the Manaos.
